Writing Task
|
Different strategies, such as mind map, Venn diagram, story map, etc. will be used to help students organize and develop their ideas. Also, each writing task will be provided with language support and a checklist so that students can have a better idea of what they are expected to write. Focus marking will be used to give students constructive feedback for their writing. |

Self-Learning
|
In order to facilitate our students to be self-directed learners, self-learning tasks are designed and assigned regularly. Self-learning exercise book help encourage students to extend their learning by themselves outside the classroom.

Home Reading Bag
|
Every week each student will be given two books (small book and letter book) with a Home Reading Booklet. This helps to foster students’ independence and motivation in learning to read. Also, it consolidates the sounds and language structures they learn during Space Town lessons.

Reading and Writing Portfolio
|
It is an individual portfolio for all P.1 to P.3 students in line with Space Town programme learning objectives and content. Samples of work and all formative assessments from the Space Town programme are included to show students’ learning progress.

e-Learning Materials
|
E-learning materials such as videos, e-readers and websites will be uploaded on eClass or Google Classroom to facilitate students’ self-directed learning. The materials are also useful in helping students consolidate what they have learnt in the lessons.
